Privacy Policy

Intertwined (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is an iOS app for couples to save, share, and track restaurant pins with notes, photos, and reservations. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. It is written to reflect exactly how the app works — no more, no less.

What the app stores, and where

All of the data below lives in your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), or on your device. We have no access to your private CloudKit database.

• Account info — When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides a unique account identifier and, optionally, your name and email address (you can choose to hide your email). This is used to identify your content and to display your name to a linked partner. It is stored in your iCloud account and the device Keychain.
• Your content — Restaurant pins (name, address, and the coordinates of the place you saved), notes, photos, reservations, and tags. Stored in your iCloud account.
• Photos — Photos you add to a pin are compressed on your device and stored in your iCloud account. The app only accesses the specific photos you choose through the system photo picker.

Partner sharing

If you link with a partner using a one-time code, the app uses Apple's CloudKit zone sharing to give that partner access to a shared set of pins, notes, photos, reservations, and tags, along with your display name and chosen pin color. This sharing happens entirely within Apple's iCloud — we do not see or relay any of it. You can manage or stop this sharing through the app and through iCloud.

Location

The app requests your device location only to center the map on where you are while you use it. Your device location is never stored and never transmitted — it is used momentarily, on-device, for the map view. The coordinates that get saved are those of the restaurants you choose to pin (returned by Apple Maps search), saved as part of that pin. The app does not track your movements.

Apple services the app relies on

The app uses these Apple frameworks, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy:

• CloudKit / iCloud — storage and partner sync.
• Sign in with Apple — authentication.
• MapKit — restaurant search and map display.

These are Apple services operating on Apple's infrastructure. We do not send your data to any non-Apple service.

Data retention and deletion

Your content remains in your iCloud account until you delete it. You can:

• Delete individual pins, notes, photos, and reservations in the app.
• Remove the app, which clears its on-device cache.
• Delete the app's data from your iCloud account via Settings → iCloud on your device.

Because the data lives in your own iCloud account, you control its lifetime.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
